The George Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation hosted the international conference Beyond Understanding: 1989 in East-Central Europe \u2013 Georgian Art Between War and Revolution.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

The conference was organized by the Piotr Piotrowski Center for Research on East-Central European Art in collaboration with the George Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation. The proceedings focused on contemporary Georgian art, which remains underrepresented in current European art historical scholarship.<\/p>

The event was opened by Mzia Chikhradze, a Senior Researcher at the Chubinashvili National Research Centre. Opening remarks were also delivered by Mariam Didebulidze, Chair of the Academic Council of the Centre; Giorgi Papashvili, a doctoral candidate at Rutgers University; and Magdalena Radomska, Director of the Piotr Piotrowski Center for Research on East-Central European Art.<\/p>

The primary objective of the conference was to deeply examine and conceptualize the relationship between contemporary European art, war, and revolution.<\/p>

In conjunction with the conference, a solo exhibition by Guram Tsibakhashvili was opened in the exhibition hall of the Chubinashvili National Research Centre.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
