Japanese scholars Shiro Sasano (Head of Project), Yasuhito Foujita, Sachiko Hattori, Norio Yoshimoto, and Rika Fujita travelled to Georgia to conduct fieldwork and collect technical data. Six researchers from the George Chubinashvili National Research Centre participated in the fieldwork, which encompassed structural measurements, sampling, photographic documentation, and photogrammetric analysis: Mariam Gabashvili, Giorgi Patashuri, Natia Natsvlishvili, Manon Liluashvili, Irina Mania, and Eter Edisherashvili.
