Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation participated in the preparation and submission of the project <strong><em>OLKAS. From the Aegean to the Black Sea \u2013 Medieval Ports in the Maritime Routes of the East<\/em><\/strong>, which is based on an international partnership. The project was submitted by Greece (European Centre for Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Monuments, Thessaloniki), with the participation of academic and research institutions from Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Ukraine. The duration of the project is two years.<\/p><p>In 2011, the project secured a grant in the first call for proposals conducted within the framework of the European Union&#8217;s &#8220;Black Sea Basin Cross-Border Cooperation Programme&#8221; (Black Sea Joint Operational Programme).<\/p><p>In connection with this, an award ceremony was held on May 23 of the current year at the Government Chancery building.
