The primary objective of the expedition was to survey the cultural monuments of Svaneti, including their architecture, mural painting, and icon painting. Particular emphasis was placed on the study of museum artifacts, specifically icons, manuscripts, and other cultural objects (see the attached itinerary\/plan).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: 'Sylfaen',serif;\">Academic discussions were held at each site. Additionally, one of the expedition&#8217;s key goals was the photographic documentation of the monuments.
