The symposium was co-organized by the Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) and Istanbul Metropolitan Planning (IMP). Notably, the Architectural Institute of Japan is a key pioneer in establishing international cooperation for the conservation of historic cities across Eastern and Central Asia.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Sylfaen',serif;\">Drawing upon research materials gathered over the past 7\u20138 years by various institutions studying historically developed urban structures, the Istanbul symposium aimed to promote balanced development models for historic cities and villages. Furthermore, it sought to facilitate the formulation of rational strategies for safeguarding cultural heritage sites and their surrounding environments. The forum also served as an essential platform for knowledge exchange and scholarly dialogue among international experts and specialists.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Sylfaen',serif;\">The Euro-Asian Corridor represents a vital connective axis spanning several continents between East Asia and Europe. Historically, Georgia and its capital have constituted an integral branch of the Great Silk Road.
