Art historian; Doctor of Art Studies (1972); Merited Scientist of Georgia (1979). She graduated from the Faculty of History at Tbilisi State University in 1925. From 1941 until the end of her life, she worked at the Institute of Georgian Art History. From 1972 to 1984, she served as head of the Department of Minor Arts.<\/p>

Over the years, she studied historical documents and written sources, with a particular focus on the so-called \u201cMaziti Books,\u201d considered valuable monuments reflecting material culture. Her primary scholarly field was minor arts, especially glyptics. In her works, she analyzed the unique monuments of Georgian glyptics, presenting an insightful overview of the field\u2019s development based on artistic analysis of the monuments and extensive historical sources. She also scientifically studied and published documents related to Georgian material culture, particularly those connected to construction history.<\/p>
