On November 10, 2010, the Georgian National Academy of Sciences announced the laureates of the 2010 Academic Prizes.
The Academician Giorgi Chubinashvili Prize was awarded to Professor Kitty Machabeli, Doctor of Art History and Chief Researcher at the G. Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation, for her book Medieval Stone Crosses (published by the G. Chubinashvili Centre in 2010).
