On November 5, 2010, under the auspices of the British Council, an exhibition of works by English artists from the British Council Collection was organized at the A. Kutateladze Tbilisi State Academy of Arts.
A member of the British Royal Family, His Royal Highness Prince Edward, who was visiting Georgia, was invited to the exhibition. Prince Edward met with representatives of various fields of art and culture, invited to the event, including Mariam Didebulidze, Director of the G. Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation, and Maia Mania, Senior Researcher at the Centre. They introduced Prince Edward to the Centre’s academic and professional relations with relevant British organizations, including FARIG (Friends of Academic Research in Georgia). M. Didebulidze presented the Prince with the book Georgian Christian Art, published by the Centre.
