From August 25 to September 3, 2017, a joint summer school course was implemented at the Center. The program featured lectures, seminars, and field excursions conducted by staff members of the Center alongside professors from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), including Michele Bacci, Barbara Schellewald, Manuela Studer, and Thomas Kaffenberger, focusing on various historical monuments across Georgia’s regions. Participating students, who had traveled from Fribourg specifically for this summer school, conducted fieldwork and site visits throughout Georgia, accompanied by their instructors and the Center’s researchers, to examine monuments of significant historical and cultural value.
