The George Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation hosted an official visit from Archbishop Ante Jozić, Apostolic Nuncio (Envoy) of the Holy See (Vatican), and Academician Valeri Asatiani.
During their visit, the guests viewed an exhibition showcasing photographic materials of Italian cities captured by the artist Sergo Kobuladze during his travels in conjunction with the 1956 Venice Biennale.
The delegation was received by Mariam Gachechiladze, Acting Director of the Chubinashvili Centre. A meeting was held subsequently, which was also attended by the Centre’s research fellows. The primary topics of discussion focused on the diverse collections preserved at the Chubinashvili Centre and the institutional activities of the organization. During the meeting, both parties expressed a mutual desire for future collaborative endeavors.
