On April 13, 2010, the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts hosted a series of events dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Dr. Dimitri Tumanishvili, a professor at the Academy and a Chief researcher at the George Chubinashvili National Research Centre.
A panel discussion titled “On the Identity of Georgian Culture” featured contributions from: Gia Bughadze (Rector of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts), Ani Kldiashvili, Asmat Okropiridze, Dimitri Tumanishvili, Mariam Didebulidze (Director of the George Chubinashvili National Research Centre), Leila Khuskivadze, Lika Mamaladze, Samson Lezhava, Lela Iakobashvili, and Nino Ghaghanidze.
During the event, Dr. Iuza Khuskivadze presented Dr. Tumanishvili’s latest book, At the Crossroads (Gzajvaredinze). Additionally, Dr. Leila Khuskivadze delivered a speech reflecting on Dimitri Tumanishvili’s scholarly career and academic contributions.
