On June 4–6, 2014, a Steering Committee meeting and programmatic conference for the international project Limen: Cultural Ports from the Aegean to the Black Sea (2013–2015, funded by the European Union) was held in Constanța, Romania. Mariam Didebulidze and Mzia Janjalia, research fellows from the G. Chubinashvili National Research Centre and members of the project’s working group, actively participated in the proceedings.
The primary objective of the project is to establish a unified network of cultural ports dating back to the Early Byzantine era to be integrated into cultural tourism itineraries. This initiative involves creating a centralized information management system and developing extensive promotional and educational materials (including brochures, digital platforms, etc.). Additionally, targeted training sessions will be conducted for local stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of the project’s core objectives.
