For several years, the small mountain village of Nowica has hosted events aimed at showcasing the religious and cultural diversity of the borderlands (Pogranicze). The decision to establish an international iconography seminar emerged following an introduction to artists preserving the traditions of ecclesiastical painting in Poland, alongside graduates from the Department of Sacred Art at the Lviv National Academy of Arts. A substantial corpus of new icons was conceptualized and executed within the framework of this seminar. It was precisely these works that were hosted by the exhibition space of the Chubinashvili Center. The event was held under the auspices of the Embassy of Poland and remained on display for several weeks.
