A group of staff members from the Centre visited the Monastery of St. John the Baptist, Chakiduli Tkhmebi (Hanging Cliffs), which is regarded as one of the finest examples of contemporary Georgian Christian architecture
The group of scholars was hosted by Bishop Davit, Abba of Alaverdi, who is the author of the project. He guided the art historians through the monastery complex, including its churches, monastic cells, library, icon-painting workshop, and other facilities, and introduced them to the future development plans of the monastery.
